OBSERVER FOOD MONTHLY AWARDS 2005: ANTHONY'S IN LEEDS SCOOPSTOP AWARD

Anthony’s in Leeds has been voted the best restaurant at this year’s Observer Food Monthly awards. Anthony’s beat off tough competition from London restaurants to scoop the award, which was voted for by a celebrity judging panel that included Gordon Ramsay and Rick Stein.

The judging panel said: “This year the award for best restaurant has gone outside London to a restaurant in Leeds. This is a staggeringly ambitious restaurant, the menu is executed with immense skill, flair and professionalism by a young and excellent chef, Tony Flinn.”
