ANTHONY’S RESTAURANTS LTD IS ONE OF THE UK’S TOP 100 UK RESTAURANT COMPANIES.

Restaurant Magazine today published their inaugural list of the top 100 restaurant companies operating in the UK today – known as the R100.

The list is based on turnover and ranges from the very large to the relatively small. It excludes those listed on the Stock Exchange’s Main Market, but includes AIM-listed restaurant companies.

Anthony’s Restaurants Ltd, Based in Leeds and owner of Leeds City Centre Restaurants ; Anthony’s Restaurant, Anthony’s at Flannels, Anthony’s Patisserie and the Forthcoming Piazza by Anthony were placed at 100 in the inaugural list:

When young chef Anthony Flinn burst onto the Leeds restaurant scene four years ago, foodies and restaurant critics cooed over his brilliant technical skills, with Giles Coren describing him as “a brilliant young follower of the dark gastronomic arts of modernity”.

Back then much was made of him being the first chef paid to work at Ferran Adriá’s El Bulli in Spain, but since then he has also shown himself to be an astute businessman, together with his father Anthony Flinn Snr. He has democratically opened Anthony’s at Flannels department store and Anthony’s Patisserie, to cover all food bases in his hometown of Leeds. He is due to open The Piazza by Anthony in the newly refurbished Leeds Corn Exchange in October.
